Cleaning and Maintaining Your Floors:

Proper maintenance and cleaning of your floors will guarantee more durability, better appearance, and preservation of your surfaces. Factors that can greatly impact your floors vary, but simple things and attention to detail can make a big difference.

If your area is highly trafficked by vehicles, we recommend training the vehicle operators as follows:

  • Start the vehicle slow and stop without spinning wheels
  • Make smooth turns
  • Lift, not drag loads or pallets
  • Secure objects to prevent dropping them on floor
  • Limit outside vehicle traffic from driving onto coated areas
  • Check and repair vehicle fluid leaks
  • Install non-marking tires on vehicles
  • Lubricate vehicle wheels regularly to eliminate skidding
  • Remove dirt or debris from vehicle wheels frequently

We also recommend that you perform routine maintenance including:

  • Pick-up any spills immediately to prevent discoloring or staining
  • Clean or sweep outside entrances to prevent dust or debris from
  • damaging the coatings.
  • Clean traffic areas daily and thoroughly to reduce coating wear and to improve gloss.
  • Inspect coatings for wear and recoat before it is worn. Recoating before it wears will improve its appearance and save you money in the long run.

Select the right brush for scrubbing, they include:

  • Natural fiber or nylon sweeping brushes
  • Soft nylon or stiff nylon scrubbing brushes
  • White red or blue scrubbing pads
  • Select the right detergent
